Fanfest 2012!

                  Well, here we are, 

             back at Fanfest - AGAIN!

 

Yes, we love this crazy 

baseball-geek-convention!

This time, Kansas City provided the venue for our baseball-lovers day.

We were overwhelmed by the reception!

And it just wouldn't be Fanfest without our
TACO HEADS!

 There was so little time to relax!

 

While wandering the event we met 

Michael Hook and Daneen Landis, 

who have been to 24 major league ballparks.

Guess what their favorite park was?

PITTSBURGH!  Yep!  Same as ours!

Yes, this really is Jim shaking the hand of Hall of Fame pitcher,  Gaylord Perry! A signed ball is traveling home with us!







  

 And, of course, we came away with 

MORE loot to add to our collection!

We will relax, sight see, EAT, and enjoy each other's company and Kansas City during the All-Star break.  We attend the Kansas City game and the new-and-improved Kauffman Stadium next Friday.

Some Thoughts on Texas

The food was hot...

 The water was refreshing (if not cool)...

The freeways were fast...                                               But the price of gas was low...

Some things struck us as extremely funny...

And others as very serious...

 But mostly we just enjoyed each other's company!

Now we are off to Oklahoma!
